I want to suggest something. Since this website needs donations to keep running why not create some exclusive features, anything you can think of. Something new and then let users pay for it. So anyone who pays or donate will get that feature. Just make it something new, not very important, just a plus for existing users.

That will definitely motivate users to give some money.
