With the recent AJAX change on the Private Show List, episodes no longer auto-hide/auto-remove when the status change is made and now requires a page refresh. To align the status change with the previous function, it would seem best to auto-hide/auto-remove the episode from the list when Watched is selected, if possible. |

Hi jibi.
We actually did have that initially - but quite a few users mis-clicked the episode and when it then auto-hides then they couldn't find an easy way to fix it.
Right now I am trying to find a good solution, but meanwhile i have disabled the "auto" hide after a succesfull update. |

Sounds good. I think the lesson with any new feature is that sometimes it takes time to get used to it. When explained, the logic is sound. You made the process - when performed properly - more efficient by removing an unnecessary click.
It looks like you're working on making it an optional feature. Perhaps a better (less overhead) compromise would be to leave the selection in place for 'x' seconds before it auto-hides to give users a few moments to back out of their incorrect selection. Or perhaps an "Undo" option (a la Gmail's "The conversation has been moved to the Trash. Learn more Undo" info action).
Anyhow, awesome work on all of the recent work and updates. |
